Sysmex America, Inc. continues its steady path of environmental responsibility from our design and manufacturing to distribution and service of products.

As evidenced by our ISO-14001 Environmental Management System Certification and by employee outreach, Sysmex has implemented a number of environmental protection activities for the benefit of our natural environment.  In the photo at the right, the Sysmex Cares Team prepares to beautify our adopted, local highway.  Here are just a few more of our initiatives.

 

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)
Sysmex supports the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by participating in the Man & Woman of the Year Campaign.  LLS supports finding the cure for blood cancers.  The ten week program is a unique fundraising competition among individuals of the community, nominated by colleagues and friends, who donate their time and effort to raise funds during this campaign.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
Sysmex America employees, families and friends walk for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraiser.  The ACS Making Strides events raise funds and awareness to fight breast cancer and provide hope to people facing the disease.  Since 1993, nearly six million walkers have raised more than $400 million.  In 2009 alone, nearly 700,000 walkers across the country collected more than $60 million.  Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women (excluding skin cancer).

Sysmex Cares

Our mission:  As a socially responsible company, associates at Sysmex America, Inc. demonstrate their caring through sustainable and actionable contributions in our communities throughout the Americas.

Our Sysmex Cares team supports Aim High, mentoring two Chicago Public School students as part of the Companies that Care urban mentoring initiative.   We also support local organizations by conducting food and toy drives during the holidays.  Take Your Child To Work Day is designed to interest young students in careers in science and healthcare. 

Our contributions include creativity, time and energy to impact people locally and globally.
