​Mundelein, Illinois – July 26, 2011 – Sysmex America, Inc. today announced plans to debut expanded software products for its Sysmex WAM™ middleware and the Medica EasyCell® assistant Automated Cell Imaging Analyzer during this year’s American Association of Clinical Chemistry’s (AACC) Annual Conference and Clinical Lab Expo July 24 - 28 in Atlanta, Georgia.  These and other products from Sysmex’s hematology portfolio can be seen at Sysmex’s exhibit booth, # 2611.   AACC’s Clinical Lab Expo is the world’s largest gathering of clinical laboratory professionals including laboratory management, researchers, GPOs and product development specialists.  It hosts the largest exposition of clinical laboratory products and services in the world.  Sysmex is a global leader in clinical laboratory systemization and solutions, including clinical diagnostics, automation and information systems.

Sysmex WAM Select™ is a streamlined hematology solution for clinical laboratories with Sysmex X-Series instruments and the Sysmex SP-1000i slidemaker/ stainer.  This comprehensive hematology decision support management system, which uses the same rules as Sysmex WAM, offers true auto-validation interface to the LIS.  Sysmex WAM Select will be demonstrated along with the XE-5000, XT-4000i, XT-2000i and the XS-1000i with Auto Loader Sysmex Automated Hematology Analyzers; representing the most complete hematology product line available. The easy-to-use WAM Select is scheduled for launch in fall 2011 and will be available in Canada and the U.S. 

Also debuting is Medica Corporation’s new software product — EasyCell® Remote— that works in conjunction with the EasyCell® assistant Automated Cell Imaging Analyzer.  This new software enables functional connection with other network PC’s for the purpose of hematology review and consultation.  The addition of EasyCell® Remote software expands the value of the EasyCell system by allowing multiple DIFF stations for review, and real-time consultation between clinicians.

The Medica EasyCell® assistant Automated Cell Imaging analyzer is distributed exclusively by Sysmex America.  The EasyCell enables smaller clinical laboratories to achieve greater detection and examination of abnormal cells while providing more detailed imaging records compared to other, more traditional manual methods.  The EasyCell automated system saves the clinical laboratory time and money; its unique software also improves data management in the areas of normal differentials, red blood cell morphology, and low-count samples.  EasyCell is part of Sysmex America’s Cell Image Analysis portfolio that also includes the CellaVision® DM-Series - DM96 and DM1200 cell image analyzers.

Sysmex associates from the U.S., Canada and Latin America will be available at the Sysmex booth to speak with clinical laboratory professionals about the Sysmex hematology, middleware, urinalysis and cell image analysis products exhibiting at Sysmex booth # 2611.
